The I Saw It! Series of Field Guides for Children

An entirely new concept in field guides, these informative, creative, and interactive books introduce children and families to many of Alaska's mammals, birds, and invertebrates. Each animal has its own "story page" that includes a first-person story "told" by the animal, a "My Facts" section, and a "Did You Know?" statement. The story page also includes the animal's scientific name, a map showing where it lives, and

space to record your own story when you see that animal. Opposite each story page

is a realistic pen-and-ink drawing of the animal in its natural habitat to be colored or simply enjoyed. An illustrated glossary, charts and tables, and many other unique pages make the "I Saw It"! series an important addition to your Alaska wildlife library.
